What is introduction to apprenticeship?
Introduction to Apprenticeship is a required RSI course for all new registered apprentices that can be accessed online for free. This class is an overview of what apprenticeship is, how it works and resources for successful completion of the apprenticeship program.
Topics covered include the history of apprenticeship, the governing structure, how to access information and forms, as well as detailed guidance on how to fill out forms related to the program.
This course can be administered to small groups of new registered apprentices, or provided to individuals to complete on their own. Supplementary materials and a required writing assignment are provided below.
This class is a requirement for all new registered apprentices. Confirmation of completion will be awarded when the required writing assignment is submitted to the Apprenticeship Coordinator.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to an apprentice by their Apprenticeship Coordinator after an apprentice watches the two-part Introduction to Apprenticeship video course and submits their required writing assignment.
Completion of Introduction to Apprenticeship is worth 10 hours of non-paid RSI.
